A Homage. . .
"The main reason to acquire this is for the celebration of ASP. I LOVE the handle coloring options, and in fact, would love to see more for other models such as the F, Talon, etc. , and hopefully we will see this company offer more hues in the future! Now the issues: 1) The aluminum airweight model, while lighter than the steel, feels way too light for the agent series to retain any striking power; these models are already thinner than the other main series (great if you have smaller hands!), meaning you will need more heft in general otherwise you can only use this for breaking a window, and using it as a self defense weapon requires you to be a kali or escrima master to deliver practical blunt-force trauma. . . 2) The clip on the side gets in the way of gripping and swinging the baton; this utility requires the operator to practice removing it and swinging it a lot, so that instinctively the user can wield it in an emergency situation; reliability is questionable. 3) The only length offered is 40 cm, which I would argue is also too short to effectively use as a self-defense weapon; imo the shortest length for any baton period is at least 21" (though I would recommend a push for the industry standard to be 24" as the ideal sweet spot between length and effective use). Overall, i love the appearance but that is about it."
