PROTECTING THOSE WHO PROTECT
For nearly fifty years, ASP has had a single-minded focus on providing law enforcement officers with the finest tools for the safe performance of their duties—and industry-leading training in the use of those tools. Every day, professionals in over 100 countries trust our products and training with their lives—so they can’t afford less than the very best.
WHAT WE DO
ASP designs and manufactures products across several distinct, yet interconnected categories:
- Expandable Batons — Our flagship product, so trusted and dominant that officers often refer to any baton simply as an “ASP.” With over 60 combinations of mechanism, size, material, and finish, there’s an ASP Baton for every officer, agency, and mission.
- Restraints — ASP transformed the handcuff industry by introducing innovative features that improve speed, ease of use, safety, and durability—setting new standards for quality and precision.
- Performance Lighting — From compact backups to tactical workhorses, every ASP flashlight is built in our own facilities to meet uncompromising standards of precision and quality.
- Power — ASP batteries and chargers are engineered to deliver maximum run time, reliability, and safety—purpose-built to complement our lighting systems.
- OC “Pepper Spray” — ASP OC Defenders feature finely machined, knurled aluminum barrels that resemble high-end flashlights, offering discretion and premium design.
- Training Tools — From our famous Red Guns to training batons and handcuffs, ASP training gear reflects our deep heritage in world-class instruction and our ongoing commitment to officer safety.
ASP also provides nearly $2 million annually in free training for law enforcement officers. These programs are the gold standard for integrated baton, restraint, and lighting techniques worldwide.
ASP DNA
ASP invests a significant portion of its revenue into research, design, and testing. Every product must embody what we call “ASP DNA” before earning our name:
- It must provide an innovative, practical solution to a real-world problem.
- It must clearly be the best in its class.
- It must be unique—and whenever possible, patentable. ASP currently holds more than 150 patents.
In short, new ASP products must make a meaningful contribution to the profession, while meeting or exceeding our uncompromising standards of design, quality, and reliability.
