Orders ship from our warehouse in Appleton, WI. The majority of in-stock orders leave the warehouse within 1-2 business days. Personalized/laser-engraved orders may require more time.

Orders ship either UPS or USPS.  Orders over $99 qualify for free standard ground
shipping (Continental US). Some exclusions apply. OC Defenders and Inserts may only be shipped via UPS
Ground.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: a limited assortment of products is available for worldwide shipping. This includes primarily flashlights, training gear, lifestyle products and other non-restricted items. On the street, there can be no tolerance for second best. It is here that the nation's most respected and tactically advanced law enforcement agencies trust their safety to ASP Friction Batons. An intermediate force system of uncompromising quality from a firm with a long tradition of agency service.

Friction Batons expand by sharply flicking the baton straight up or straight down to extend the inner shafts. Each shaft is locked rigidly in place by a precision Friction taper. To retract the baton, strike the tip of the baton sharply downward on a hard surface, such as concrete.

Foam and Duratec grips are available. Airweight shafts offer 45% weight reduction with 98% of the striking potential of steel. Black Chrome provides the most durable and corrosion resistant black baton finish. Electroless is the most corrosion resistant finish. It is well suited to high humidity environments.

Amazing Design!

"If you've handled tactical batons, or are an experience martial artist (with weapons) the 26" F series by ASP should be the default length and design for tactical batons in general -- the most effective length and heft for emergency purposes. I would recommend the steel over the airweight, however, researchers online have actually recommend the airweight due to its easier use, so really you cannot go wrong. The pommel can be switch out for other ones that ASP offers. I have not tested any of their break-away or alternate heads that they make. Definitely look into investing in this model; get the electroless shaft if you can acquire it as well, though the black steel is totally fine."

First time using ASP baton.

"I’ve always used the Manadnok PR-24 but I’m pressed with the ASP baton. Good quality materials and lightweight. I’d hate to be on the receiving end. I do wish there were some way to integrate a loop strap. Maybe of 550/Paracord just in case someone tries to snatch it from you or if you’re in rainy conditions."

Been doing the job for us for years!

"This is the very baton we currently issue at work. Some of our older officers came in with batons by other manufacturers and are jealous of the guys who have joined recently and were issued these because they open and close so much more reliably than their competitor predecessors. One of my officers recently commented during training that due to her smaller size, she likes the longer length because she can keep control of her subjects at a greater distance. We issue the black chrome, but I had to order myself an electroless model just to be different. I love telling my coworkers that it's the "cool kids" model."
